Please support our fundraising initiative for maintenance of our new all weather pitch. We have a Justgiving site HERE and also a Spacehive site HERE where pledges and donations would be gratefully received.

Club Activities:

Spring Club Quiz Evening - Sat 9th March

will be held on Saturday 9th March from 7:15 pm at the Village Hall, There will be the usual refreshments on offer and of course a raffle at the end of the evening. Cost is £3 per team member which helps cover the costs of the hall hire, more importantly it also raises some income for the cricket club. Contact the committee for details of how you can book a table for your team, numbers are limited.

Ferring Village Hall open morning - Sat 26th Jan

The hall had an open day for all societies who use the facilities, allowing us to publicise what we have and what we offer to the community. We had a table where we displayed the club history and the opportunity to talk to players.

The Annual General Meeting of the Club

was held at the Henty Inn on Sunday 27th January 2019. Around 20 members attended, clubs progress, status and outlook was discussed .

A new Committee was elected and the structure of the Club can be viewed HERE, please contact us if your would like more details.

NETS 2019

To get ready for the outdoor season our first indoor net session starts on Thursday 7th Feb, new players of all ages are welcome. The indoor facilities at Littlehampton academy school are excellent. Bats, pads etc can all be borrowed on the evening.

7pm - 8pm Colts U10 Soft Ball & U14s Hard Ball (Separate areas within the sports hall)
8pm - 9.30pm Adults (18yrs +) & Junior Members (15yrs to 17yrs)

Cost is £5 per evening, sessions continue every Thursday until 11th April, (no sessions on 28th Feb or 7th March due to exams at the school). Entrance to the school is via Hill Road, the sports hall is in the large building to the right of the car park. Please contact the club via Facebook or the committee if you have any questions.

Another Club Quiz Evening

was held on Friday 28th December 2018 at the Village Hall, more are planned during this year. Thanks to everyone who supported the event and for raising much needed funds for the club.

The Annual Dinner and Awards evening

was held on Friday 30th November at The Henty Inn, report is HERE

New all weather pitch was installed on the square in November 2018.

End of season groundwork took place on Sun 30th Sept, 7th & 14th October .

Colts award evening held at Ferring Village Hall on Friday 5th October 7pm.

Sussex County Cricket Club NATWEST OSCA 2015 awarded to our groundsman : .
Peter Bromley (our Groundsman) WINS the Sussex County Cricket Club Natwest OSCA award for Groundsmanship.
The award was presented by Zac Toumazi, Chief Executive of SCCC, at the OSCA dinner held at the County Ground on Fri 11th Sept 2015.

We are a traditional Village Cricket Club with a non-league Saturday XI and a social Sunday XI. We home ground is at the Little Twitten Rec in Ferring, near Goring, located between East Preston and Worthing in West Sussex on the South Coast of England.

Club Information

The Club has been established for nearly 125 years. We are one of the few remaining clubs in this part of West Sussex who still play friendly non-League Cricket on Saturdays.

Our Season starts in late April each year and continues until the end of September. We are always looking for new fixtures from equally enthusiastic sides within Sussex and surrounding counties.

We play home matches on the village cricket ground located at the "Little Twitten" in Ferring which is approx. one mile from the sea and has very pleasant views, in the distance, of the South Downs.

Cricket is the only sport played on the ground which is totally enclosed, the square is maintained by our own qualified Groundsman.

We actively encouraging younger Cricketers to join us in playing friendly cricket and continue to invest in coaching courses and training for all aspects of Cricket in the community.  We are always interested in recruiting new members, please contact any member of the committee or e-mail us.

Indoor Nets are arranged each year, proceeding the start of the season and outdoor nets are run on some Sunday mornings at the ground during the summer months.   

Several social and special events are planned during each season, these may include:

Fund raising Jumble sale or Quiz nights held in the Spring.

Indoor nets (subject to availability and levels of support) between February and April .
Pre-season Social/Buffet at the Henty Pub in April.
Pub games evening mid season at the Henty Inn.
Participation in the Highdown Cricket tour of Dorset in June.
Presidents match Vs Ferring CC XI in July.

Social match vs the Henty Inn on August bank holiday Monday.

Sussex Women's county age-group match have been held at the Little Twitten.

Lads & Dads XI Vs Sat XI match.
Annual end of the Season Dinner and Awards in November.

AGM held usually in January at the Henty Inn.
